Bike Tour Guide
Our Nice Cycle Tour takes guests to the Old Town, the Promenade des Anglais, Place Massena, Place Garibaldi and up the Castle Hill. It’s the best introduction to the city of Nice. Ideally, if guests do the tour on their first day in Nice, we can set them up for the rest of their holidays.
A good Cycle Tour guide knows how to ride a bike, has elementary bike maintenance skills, is a good storyteller, easily connects with people and has a winning smile.
If you are interested in this position, and can say YES to all of our General Requirements (see Overview tab), we would be very interested in receiving your application!
eBike Tour Guide For guests that want to go further afield, we offer a selection of French Riviera eBike tours. Going to Villefranche, St Jean Cap Ferrat, or the Bellet area, we use bikes with electrical assistance (eBikes) to cover the extra distance and climbing with great ease.
As an eBike guide, you need to be comfortable riding a bike for a long time, have extensive bike maintenance skills, great autonomy and the ability to improvise when problems arise, be a good storyteller and have a winning smile.
If you are interested in this position, and can say YES to all of our General Requirements (see Overview tab), we would be very interested in receiving your application!
Recruitment and training process
Step 1 Application
Please fill in the application form. You will need to attach your CV.
To optimise your chances of getting an interview, we suggest also providing a confidential link to a short informal video (3-5 minutes) where you introduce yourself and explain why you think you’d be perfect for this job. Further details and instruction are provided in the Application Form tab.
Please note that we DO NOT accept applications via e-mail or by phone.
Step 2 Initial phone call
We call all candidates considered for an audition for a quick informal chat.
Step 3 Interview & audition
The audition consists of a face-to-face interview (exceptionally we can organise a Zoom meeting in person if impracticable). For this interview, we ask you to prepare a story that will keep us entertained for five minutes. It could be on any topic as long as it’s engaging and keeps us hooked!
Step 4 Coming along on a tour
After the interview, we may ask you to come along on one of our tours. This is to give you the opportunity to experience a typical tour and to ensure that you have a good understanding of what working for us entails.
Step 5 Additional interviews & tests
We will also call your referees to get a better understanding of your personality and background.
Step 6 Training program
We offer paid training of approx 10-20 hrs, depending on which tours we are training you for, plus we expect you to do significant self study. The elapsed time from when you start your training until you start doing tours with fully paid clients is typically 2-4 weeks.
Step 7 Quality assurance and continuous training
Your training doesn’t stop there! A senior guide will come on your tours regularly to help you improve your presentation and storytelling skills as well as group management and safety aspects. You are expected to continue to learn throughout your employment with us!
