A hat, t-shirt and sneakers are ideal. We recommend that you bring a long sleeve shirt as the Mediterranean sun is strong during the summer months.
Bring a small backpack or bag with sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and of course your camera. FYI: We provide water bottles and stop regularly to refill them.
If you want to come with your luggage or simply with the things you need to go to the beach after the tour, don’t worry. You can safely leave it in our bicycle shop during the tour because it is equipped with a roller shutter and alarm.
The Nice Tour takes about three hours at a recreational pace and covers approximately 10 km. We spend about half the time cycling. There is one small hill, the top of which we reach in about fifteen minutes. Keep in mind that Nice can be hot during the summer (temperatures up to 30°C). We believe that anyone with an average body condition will have no difficulty completing the Nice tour, even if they have not cycled for a long time. It is always advisable to consult your doctor if you have any doubts about physical exertion.
During the summer months, temperatures in Nice can often rise to 30°C. That’s why we start our tours in the morning and late afternoon.
As in any big city, traffic can be heavy in some places. That’s why we’ve designed the Discover Nice by bike tour to minimize the use of busy roads so we can enjoy the quieter streets and cycle paths.
Our Nice tour is suitable for all ages and the itinerary has been specially designed to avoid heavy traffic and other hazards as much as possible. We have child seats for children up to 22 kg. We have trailer bicycles for older children who are not yet cycling independently. We also have regular children’s bicycles in different sizes. Please let us know if it concerns a family when you book or send a request as the number of child seats, trailer bicycles and children’s bicycles is limited!
The bicycles we use for the Discover Nice by Bike tours are lightweight, very manoeuvrable and highly adjustable. Because there is no top tube, it is easy to touch the ground with your feet, which makes these bikes very safe in the city! For the trailer bicycles and bicycle seats, we use mountain bikes with small, medium and large frames.
It rarely rains in Nice during the summer! If this is exceptionally the case, we will provide you with a rain poncho.
